Carl Eugene Loye, CPP (Gene)
Gene is the Founder and President of SENTRY WATCH. SENTRY WATCH is an UNDERWRITER'S LABORATORIES listed Central Station Alarm Company that provides alarm design and installation, service, monitoring and a broad spectrum of other electronic security systems. SENTRY WATCH has had the privilege of providing commercial and residential security since 1969. His alarm industry experience, beginning in 1969, has ranged from sales and management to design and manufacturing.
Mr. Loye is past president of the North Carolina Alarm Systems Association, past chairman of the North Carolina Chapter of the American Society of Industrial Security and past chairman of the Greensboro Loss Prevention Council. He has also served on the Government Relations Committee of the North Carolina Alarm Systems Association, the Board of Directors for the Greensboro Merchants Association, Greensboro Crimestoppers and the Greensboro Credit Bureau. He has been instrumental in promoting legislation that protects the public and enhances the industry through the licensing of alarm installing companies. His background includes specialized training and experience in commercial, industrial, residential, computer room and bank security, Access Control and CCTV.
The Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation is awarded by the American Society of Industrial Security for demonstrated professional competence; this individual recognition by security professional peers is one of the highest certifications.
Arthur H. Cowles (Art)
Mr. Cowles has extensive technical training and experience in electronic and electromechanical equipment. He worked with Western Electric for twelve years initially as an installer and then as a systems tester, primarily for computerized telephone switching systems. His responsibilities ranged from initial installation of equipment through system testing and final inspection. His skills include computer programming, software analysis, hardware trouble-shooting and repair.
Prior to joining SENTRY WATCH, Art worked for Northern Telecom as a Technical Support Specialist for an advanced computerized digital telephone switching system. This entailed both remote and on-site technical support for installation and service personnel.
